Common Questions About Making a Farmhouse Tulip Wreath

Can I use real flowers instead of artificial flowers?

While real flowers can be beautiful, artificial flowers are recommended for longevity, especially if the wreath will be displayed outdoors. Tulips wilt especially quickly when not in a vase of water or a well-hydrated floral foam, so artificial flowers are a must for this spring tulip wreath.

Where can I find grapevine wreaths and other floral items?

Vine wreaths and craft supplies can be found at most craft stores, including Joann’s, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart, as well as dollar stores like Dollar Tree. you can even buy wholesale from Michaels and Dollar Tree to get all the supplies delivered to your door for a day of crafting.

Can I use a different crown shape?

Yes, if you prefer a different wreath base, you can make your own woven rope wreath base from a wire wreath frame, or wrap a foam wreath form with burlap or ribbon like this wreath and then use floral pins to hold the bunches of tulips. You can also arrange bunches of tulips around a wire wreath frame for a complete tulip wreath for spring! Zip tie each bundle in place until you have covered the entire wreath shape.

No special skills are required, making this project suitable for crafters of all levels. Simply follow the instructions and let your creativity flow! If you’re nervous, place the flowers without glue first, then come back and glue them together once all the elements are arranged to your liking.
