I have always been incredibly curious about the world. I have spent the last 15 years traveling around the world, living on four continents and visiting more than 80 countries. While I have loved almost all the travel experience I have had, there are some outstanding obvious.
Over the years, I have visited some countries that I describe as “Mini Mundo”. Countries that have so much diversity within them that you feel that you are on a world trip.
You can walk through the mountains, relax on the beach, try incredible meals and experience unique cultures and vibrant cities. Some places really feel that they have everything, and these are the places that I will recommend for a one -month trip.
Planning a one -month trip is different from other types of travel. It is long enough to want a little variety within the destination, but not so much to experience exhaustion. And let’s be sincere: affordability is always a consideration when traveling for so long.
That is why I recommend the following destinations if you plan to make a month trip! Everyone offers a wide variety of experiences, so they will never get bored, and will obtain a great explosion for their money.
Colombia
Colombia is my recommendation for people looking for a fun moment. While you can still enjoy a shorter visit, a month will give you the opportunity to really appreciate how diverse this beautiful country is.
From the cities of parties and the impressive beaches of the Caribbean coast to the colorful cities of the coffee region, the vibrant commune thirteen in Medellin and the depths of the Amazon in Leticia, one month in Colombia they will keep it alert.
I lived in Colombia for a year in 2013. I loved my time there and I always recommend it to adventurous travelers. I returned for the first time in 2023 and I was surprised with the speed with which the country became an unmissable tourist destination.
Now, I recommend it to everyone. No person could go to Colombia and not be completely fascinated by everything he has to offer.
Türkiye
Türkiye is one of the first countries that I visited, and gave life to my concept of mini world. There is much to do in Türkiye; It is a choice of your own adventure of experiences of the desire list.
Istanbul is the only city in the world that covers two continents. It is a fascinating fusion of this and west, which can be felt in its culture, architecture, food and lifestyle.

If you want the best Brazilian experience, you really have to visit during the Carnival. Although he has been on my desire list forever, I attended my first carnival in Rio de Janeiro last year, and all I can say is: “Wow!”
It feels like the greatest and most vibrant celebration of the planet. Everything is so elaborate and extravagant. Although I had seen many images of street parties and the samba parade, nothing can prepare for the way the whole country clicks to the rhythm of the drum for a whole month. The carnival energy must be felt to understand.
A month in Brazil will give you time to explore other destinations, such as the paradisiacal Great Ilha and other beautiful destinations along the coast.
Of course, no trip to Brazil is complete without a visit to the Amazon jungle. His month in Brazil will be full and unforgettable!
The Stans
The stans refer to the five countries of Central Asia of Uzbekistan, Kirguistán, Tayikistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. This part of the world may not immediately vomit when planning a vacation. Even so, if you are looking for an emerging tourist destination with unique and exciting experiences, Stans could be your answer.
Starting with only two countries in the region, you will get the best balance in a month. Uzbekistan is essential for travelers for the first time to the area.
Samarcanda, Bukhara and Khiva are incredibly beautiful cities on the Silk Route, each with their own unique and fascinating history. Much of the architecture has been preserved or restored and will leave you astonished. Uzbeka food It is also an unexpected climax.
The perfect complement to Uzbekistan is Kyrgyzstan, a country full of impressive natural beauty, mountain land and resistant terrain. We hired a 4 × 4 and drove around Kyrgyzstan; It was one of my favorite travel experiences.

Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka was one of the most surprising destinations I have visited. Culture is colorful, nature is picturesque, there is much to do and do, and it is worth going alone for food. Although it looks small on a map, one month is the perfect amount of time to do this incredible island justice.
Pass time exploring the beaches of the southern coast. This part of the country is experiencing a tour of tourism and has been described as similar to Bali thirty years ago.
Go to the center of the country to explore cloud forests, carry Kandy’s famous train to her and visit Sigiriya’s impressive rock.
